Joseph R. Canzoneri, DPM
Dr Canzoneri, a native of Western New York, graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. His externship was completed at the University of Southern California, and residency at VAMC West Los Angeles/UCLA medical Center. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics, American Medical Specialties Board in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr Canzoneri was one of the early pioneers performing endoscopic plantar fasciotomies (EPF) which has become the most popular and most successful surgical modality for chronic heel pain. His published article” Split thickness skin grafts a literature review and case report” has been of special interest for Dr Canzoneri as he has sub specialized in advanced wound care. He is currently a staff clinician at the UMMC /Rochester General Wound Care Center and continues to work full time at his private practice in Genesee County with strong interests in podiatric sports medicine. . He currently gives lectures on Advanced Wound Care and is a member of SAL-SAL(Save A Limb Save A Life) and a member of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care both multidisciplinary organizations dedicated to Limb Salvage.
